and i forgot to mention that i received a letter from liberty park apartments in queens village, ny (which was one of the apartments that i BELIEVE the long island center of independent living helped me apply to) telling me that i was being put on their waiting list and i needed to write them once a year in order to stay on the waiting list. oh well.. i'll take it.. better then nothin i suppose. gotta start SOMEWHERE *shrugs shoulders*.

eye doctor adventures!
so i went to the eye doctor. the first woman who looked at my eyes (i get the idea that she was ASSUMING that i was there for fun or something?) looked at my eyes and said to me after i asked her if i was gonna get new glasses,"well.. it DEPENDS on how WHAT the eye doctor says." then the eye doctor came in and looked at my eyes and i'm pretty sure that he said that i had an astigmatism in my right (?) eye but he could fix that with some glasses. i'm PRETTY sure that it was my right eye that had the astigmatism. then he asked the NORMAL "does your family have a history of cataracts or glaucoma?" question and i had to tell them about my grandma's history of cataracts. so.. i'm pretty sure that they checked me EXTRA well for cataracts or at least they should've if they were any good. i had to pick out some new frames after. i'm getting awfully sick of seeing those trendy oval shaped nerd glasses but they didn't have much of a selection- so i just did my best at selecting what i thought would look nice and what i thought was halfway unique and original. whatever fuck these damn hipster motherfuckers who think having glasses is cool, so they get those damn hipster nerd glasses that everyone and their momma has. i TRIED not to get those but i have a feeling that i probably did.. oh well.
